About Us – C&G Care Homes

Who are We

C&G Care Homes provides supported living for adults aged 18 to 65 with a forensic or offending history, including individuals with associated mental health needs. We operate two nine-bed houses in Hackney, London — Newnton House and Riverside House — each staffed 24 hours a day. We are CQC registered and rated Good.Our work sits at the point where risk management and genuine rehabilitation meet.

We support people moving on from custody, hospital, or other secure settings, as well as those referred from the community, and we work within a mixed caseload that can include higher-risk presentations such as sexual offending, assessed and managed individually for each placement.

Who we work with

We accept referrals from probation services, local authority social services, and NHS mental health and forensic teams.

Each referral is assessed on its own merits — we look at offending history, current risk, mental health presentation, and compatibility with our existing residents before any placement is agreed

Our approach

Supporting adults with a forensic history demands more than good intentions. It requires consistent staffing, clear structure, and staff who understand both risk and rehabilitation.

Our model is built on:

Risk-aware support: every placement is underpinned by an individual risk management plan, developed with the referring agency and reviewed regularly.
Continuity of care: 24-hour staffing across both houses, so residents have consistent support and structure day and night.
Multi-agency working: we work closely with probation officers, care coordinators, and clinical teams, and contribute to reviews, risk panels, and care planning as required.

Rehabilitation with structure: residents are supported toward greater independence within a framework that takes safety — theirs and the wider community’s — seriously
Individual assessment: no placement is generic. We assess compatibility, risk, and need before agreeing to take someone on.
Regulated quality: we are CQC registered and currently rated Good, reflecting our commitment to safe, effective, and well-led care
